phAKT1
Boost transient expression of proteins. An auxiliary plasmid that expresses a codon-optimized human RAC-alpha serine/threonine-protein kinase protein (human AKT1; uniprot entry P31749) in mammalian cells. AKT kinases regulate many processes including metabolism, proliferation, cell survival, growth and angiogenesis.
When phAKT1 is co-transfected with a second plasmid into cells, it promotes the proliferation and survival of the transfected cells.
The plasmid features the CMV promoter, WPRE stability element, Neomycin resistance gene for selection if needed, and ampicillin resistance gene for bacterial propagation.
